Chicken Tacos with Solo Oven Dough

Ingredients:

⦁ Solo oven dough
⦁ Chicken breasts
⦁ Black pepper
⦁ Salt
⦁ Taco seasoning
⦁ Fajita seasoning
⦁ Garlic, minced
⦁ Onion, sliced
⦁ Olive oil
⦁ 3 types of bell pepper (red, yellow, green), sliced
⦁ Grated mixed cheese
⦁ Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
⦁ Tomatoes, chopped (for garnish)
⦁ Green lime and sour cream (for serving)

Preparation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    ⦁ Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    ⦁ Spray a baking tray with oil and place the Solo dough on the tray as shown in the picture.
    ⦁ Bake for 15 minutes or until the dough turns light brown.
    ⦁ Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  2.  Marinate the Chicken:
    ⦁ Cut the chicken breasts into slices.
    ⦁ Season with black pepper, salt, taco seasoning, fajita seasoning, and minced garlic.
    ⦁ Add a splash of olive oil and mix well.
    ⦁ Place the marinated chicken in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
  3.  Cook the Chicken:
    ⦁ In a frying pan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat.
    ⦁ Add the marinated chicken slices and sauté until fully cooked.
    ⦁ Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
    ⦁ In the same frying pan, add a bit more olive oil.
    ⦁ Add the sliced onions and garlic, and sauté until they start to soften.
    ⦁ Add the same spices used for the chicken (black pepper, salt, taco seasoning, fajita seasoning) and stir.
    ⦁ Add the sliced bell peppers and cook until they start to soften.
    ⦁ Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and stir until everything is well combined.
    ⦁ Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble and Bake:
    ⦁ Place the filling in the baked Solo dough.
    ⦁ Top with grated mixed cheese.
    ⦁ Place the filled dough back in the oven and bake until the cheese melts.
  5.  Garnish and Serve:
    ⦁ Garnish with chopped green onions and tomatoes.
    ⦁ Serve with green lime wedges and sour cream, or as desired.
